Stone-Carved Falcon
The majestic falcon that overlooks the Foothill courtyard is a Peregrine Falcon, hand sculpted by Mr. Richardson. The falcon weighs 3,000 pounds and took Mr. Richardson over 800 hours to create and polish. He has been employed in brick and stone masonry his entire career, and is a Masonry Instructor.
Falco the Mascot
During the Fall assembly a new tradition at Foothill was created. Falco the school's new mascot was hatched by the Student Council of 2000-2001. The suit was brand new and it looked great, all the students dressed in their class colors cheered. Falco will be at assemblies and sporting events. It is a new tradition that had begun and will hopefully continue through the years at Foothill.
Homecoming Activities
October 6th, 2000
October 6th, 2000 was a "Luau Through Paradise" in the Student Activity Center. Previously the students of Foothill High were involved in several theme days; such as, Pajama Day, Hat Day, 70's/Mismatch Day, Hawaiian Day, and finally Class Colors Day. On Friday there was an Assembly in the Quad, followed by a Parade of the Class Floats, and the Band, Dance Team, and Cheerleaders. The parade route was a complete square through the Foothill community on College, Horizon, Greenway and Heather. The football game that evening was great, and during half-time Kendall and Amy were crowned Homecoming King and Queen.
