Melvin Bantau

 



Brittney Cannavino

Ms. Cannavino has a Bachelor of Science, a Mathematics Major, and a Computer Science Minor from Western Michigan University. She coaches the volleyball teams here at Foothill.




Roger Harris


Mr. Harris teaches Algebra I, Algebra II Honors, and Pre-Calc here at Foothill. He recieved his under graduate degree in math at the University of Illinois, and then his masters in Secondary Education from UNLV. He is married, and his wife is the librarian at Smalley Elementary.




Paul Huddy


Mr.Huddy teaches Algebra and Intuitive Geometry here at Foothill. He is from Michigan and lived south of Detroit all of his life until he moved to Henderson. He graduated from Michigan State University and finished his teaching certificate at Wayne State University. He likes all Detroit sports teams, mainly the Pistons and Tigers.





Phil Iglitz


Mr. Iglitz has a B.S. in Teaching of Mathematics from the University of Illinois, in Chicago and a Masters of Education, Educational and Curricular Studies from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He enjoys hiking and biking in his free time.



Karen Murphy

Ms. Murphy has a Bachelors in Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a Masters in Secondary Education also from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She enjoys spending time with her family - espeically in Northern Nevada, where she is from. She also adores her pet beagle, Sarge.



Lynne Loerzel
Mrs. Loerzel teaches Calculus, Pre-calculus and Geometry here at Foothill. She has a Master's degree in Math from the Univeristy of Montana, and has four grandchildren.




Joseph Peila



Mr. Peila is the "Math Daddy" here at Foothill.
The name was given to Mr. Peila by his students at Rancho HS when he was teaching Math Apps. The name followed him to Desert Pines and has stuck! Mr. Peila was the Nevada State Teacher of the Year in 2004.




Maria Peralta

Mrs. Peralta went to the University of Santa Tomas in Manila, Phillipines. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She is the advisor to the Anime Club at Foothill.


Kellie Reser



Ms. Reser has lived in Henderson for most of her life, and graduated from Basic and went to Junior High and Elementary school here. She went to UNLV and received her Bachelors and then to Nova University for her Masters. She I has two outstanding girls named Paytton and Maddesyn and she spends most of her time with them. They keep her busy and are everything to her. Her favorite sport to play is softball and her favorite sport to watch is football. The Cowboys are her team.



Paul Ruth
Mr. Ruth attended the U.S. Naval Acadamy in 1975, and recieved his BA in Economics in 1976, followed by his MA in 1990. He enjoys playing and coaching soccer in his free time.



Tracy Shelton


Mrs. Shelton was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and went to college in a small town called Meadville, PA. She taught middle school math in Erie, PA for 5 years before moving to Henderson in 1998. After one year at Palo Verde High School, she came to Foothill when it opened in 1999. She is the only original Falcon in the math department. She is married to a teacher and they have two sons: Jake is 5 and Jared is 4.

David Weiss

Mr. Weiss came to Las Vegas from Kansas City, Missouri. He loves to read and watch movies, however, hiking, boating, and traveling he really enjoys with his wife. Mr. Weiss coached boy's basketball for 16 years and girl's softball for 12 years.
